What is non-attorney special education advocate?
A non-attorney special education advocate provides families with knowledgeable, personalized support to help them navigate the special education process with confidence and clarity. At Center4SPARK, we focus on education, collaboration, and problem-solving rather than legal representation.
We work alongside families to​
Explain special education laws, rights, and school procedures, including IEPs and 504 Plans​
Review educational records and help identify appropriate supports and accommodations
Prepare families for school meetings and attend meetings when needed
Support clear, effective communication between families and school teams
Advocate collaboratively to ensure students receive appropriate educational services
Our goal is to empower families with the information and support they need to make informed decisions and advocate effectively for their child’s educational success.
